Who We Are
‘THE FGGC OWERRI (UK CHAPTER) ALUMNI ASSOCIATION IS MADE UP OF OLD GIRLS AND STAFF OF FGGC OWERRI, IMO STATE, NIGERIA BASED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM’.
Our Objectives
The objective of the association is to maintain contact between past, present and future students of FGGC Owerri, through fostering friendships amongst its members, and the wider College community.
The association also seeks to provide financial assistance and support to FGGC Owerri and its students through, for example, the granting of scholarships and bursaries, supporting the academic, sciences, fine arts, athletic and vocational activities of FGGC Owerri and its students and making gifts for the benefit and use of FGGC Owerri and its students
We also look to undertake and support projects that enhance and preserve FGGC Owerri as a heritage institution and that enhance the role of FGGC Owerri in the community, including providing support to the FGGC Owerri Archives
Our Alumni Association helps support and undertake class and school reunions and other similar events celebrating the school, its students and its alumni.
As part of the Association’s communication strategy, we aim to communicate with FGGC Owerri Alumni for the purposes of keeping them informed about the current activities of the school and providing a means for them to communicate with each other.
We will also collect monies by way of Annual Dues, donations, fund-raising activities or otherwise and to accept gifts, legacies, devises and bequests and to hold, invest, expend or deal with these funds to further the purposes of the Association
